This mural was created with students of Pomona State School and commissioned by Queensland Rail.

This mural is all based around community.

At the centre of the mural, is a large circle representing our community, sitting together as one. The circle represents the camp, (Pomona) our home.

The Rainbow Serpent painted in white represents the creation figure, thus representing the primordial creation of our region in the hinterland. The two circles represent the wider cultural concept of community showing human family with backdrop of Cooroora and also depict animals of the land and water.

The Stars on the artwork acknowledge the Aboriginal understanding of community being those both past and present. These stars are shown as the camp fires in the sky.

Finally the image on the platform side depicts the Southern Cross a celestial system looked upon by all peoples knowing and acknowledging this place as their home over the last 100,000 years.
